Writing Significant Racial Moments
Festival go-ers loved Chris Terry’s hands-on workshop called Writing Significant Racial Moments.
Writing Significant Racial Moments was an interactive creative writing workshop where participants read from and discuss a piece of published work with a mixed-race theme, explore the possibilities for mixed-race lit and experience, then share and write their own stories.
Chris L. Terry recently moved to L.A. from Chicago, where he got a Creative Writing MFA from Columbia College. Slate and Kirkus included his novel, Zero Fade, (Curbside Splendor, 2013), on their Best Of 2013 lists. Kirkus called it, “Original, hilarious, thought-provoking and wicked smart: not to be missed.” ChrisLTerry.com has links to more of his writing.
